DSA Enhanced Rider Scheme (E.R.S)

This new training and accreditation scheme has been developed by the DSA in conjunction with all the major Insurance Companies, the intent of which is to increase rider safety, ability, confidence, hazard perception & awareness and therefore reducing risk of accident or injury. Adopting the basic principles of Advanced Training, it is a step toward and can only serve to make a better, safer rider

This is available to riders of any ability or experience, whether newly qualified, having been riding for many years or those that are looking to get back to two wheels after some time away!

We are all individuals with our own levels of riding and aspirations, all courses are therefore tailored to individual needs; a basic course for someone of reasonable experience may only take one day, whereas a newly qualified rider may need more. If a satisfactory standard is demonstrated on the first day then you will be issued with your Enhanced Rider Certificate, if not then we can advise as to any areas that need either further practice or training as required.

The Enhanced Rider Scheme (E. R. S.) Certificate

The Enhanced Rider Certificate is recognised by all of the major insurance companies, and as such will help you to reduce your insurance premium, typically by about 10%, but some as much as a full year's no-claims discount!!

Bikes are available for use, whether 125cc or even a 33bhp restricted Fazer 600 - ideal if you passed your test on a 125 and want to learn to ride a big-bike safely!

Make the most of your pride-and-joy, ride to your potential, with the confidence and ability to deal with any circumstances, and save money too.

I passed my bike test in 1963 and haven't been on a bike for about 40 years. Legally I could get straight on a bike and go, thankfully I had a chat to Paul first, he suggested a few hours refresher using his bike and riding gear.

I had a great time with Paul, very relaxed but very efficient and it was reassuring to have him behind you and “in your ear” to make you aware of developing road situations before you were on top of them.

Paul was then able to award me with the E. R. S Certificate at the end of our few hours and I would advised anyone who is considering getting on a bike again after a few years away, do it the right way and see Paul first, he will bring back the enjoyment of biking in a safe and professional way.

Geoff - Refresher & Enhanced Rider Scheme

Having got back to biking after 25 years just a few weeks ago, expert tuition from Paul gave me a huge amount of confidence after just a few hours. By the end of my 2nd half day session, I had enough confidence to be awarded the E. R. S. Certificate with an A grade.

Paul’s method of instruction is without doubt effective, I would recommend Ridesafe to any one and Paul has given me the tuition to be able to take my RoSPA test in just 2 afternoon sessions.

All this has maximised my enjoyment and given me the confidence to ride safely in all weather conditions. Above all, remember good riders are trained not born, a true life saver.

Thanks Paul for a very enjoyable time.
